He represented Poland in European Technology Platform as a member of “Mirror Group”, and a member of Steering Committee of Renewable Heating and Cooling European Technology Platform and he is a member of American Council on Renewable Energy. K. Biernat is a an expert in International Renewable Energy Agency, International Energy Agency, Organization States of America and Operational Programmes: Infrastructure and Environment, Innovation Economy and Human Capital. He specializes in chemical thermodynamics of environmental processes as well as obtaining technologies, quality evaluation and use of exploitative liquids, including biofuels, and biorafinery systems. He received many national and foreign distinctions, decoration and orders for scientific and pro-innovative activities. He has been a vice-president of International Jury, World-wide Showroom of Scientific Progress and Inventiveness “Brussel’s Innova - Eureka” for twenty five years. He is an author of above 200 publications in area of properties and exploitative conditionings of fuels, biofuels and other liquids as well as environmental protection. He has supervised a few dozen of master’s and engineering thesis’s in this area and is the promoter of four doctoral dissertations. K. Biernat has expert licence in the field of fuel and energy economy. He is also an examined lecturer of Polish Economic Society and Polish Federation of Engineering Associations. He is a member of many national and foreign scientific societies including American Chemical Society and American Association for the Advancement of Science.

Between 1999 and 2002 Councillor in Podlaskie Voivodeship Council and Member of the Board of Podlaskie Voivodeship. He co-founded Podlaskie Voivodeship Development Strategy until 2010 and coordinated work associated with creation of Podlaskie Voivodeship Tourism Strategy, and local development programmes in the field of culture, sports, education and tourism. He co-founded also Białystok Development Strategy 2011-2020 Plus. He was a member of The Joint Central Government and Local Government Committee as a representative of The Republic of Poland Marshals' Convention
since 2007. is an Assistant Professor of The University of Finance and Management (WSFiZ), since 2015 a Dean of Faculty of Economic Sciences. Has developed 22 teaching programs and postgraduate studies. Author of 4 books and more than 60 scientific articles concerning the areas of: sustainable development, tourism, regional and local development, spatial management, strategic management. He has participated in more than 50 national and international conferences and scientific seminars and gave more than 30 speaches in Polish, English and Russian.

Since 2007 he has been a member of the Scientific Council of the Polish Economic Society in Bialystok (PTE). Since June 2010 a Vice President of the Scientific Council of the Polish Economic Society in Bialystok. Initiator and co-organizer of the Podlaskie Voivodeship Forum of Economists. Awarded in 2015 for activities in the PTE with Silver Honorary Award. He has been a member of the Board of Association of Spatial Planning in Poznań. Since 2015 he has been working with the Poland 2000 Plus Prognosis Committee at the Polish Academy of Sciences. He received numerous awards and diplomas given by the President of WSFiZ in Białystok for scientific and organizational activity in: 2009, 2010, 2013, 2014. Medal "Distinguished for Service to The University of Finance and Management (WSFiZ) in Białystok". In 2014 he was awarded with Lecturerof The Year in popularity contest organized by "Kurier Poranny" newspaper among academics of universities of Białystok. In 2016 he was awarded the Bronze Cross of Merit, given by the President of the Republic of Poland, upon the request of the Minister of Science and Higher Education, for his contribution to the development of science.

Her experise gathers cooperation industry-academia, management of international research and innovation projects and international cooperation. She is an Expert to the Programme Committee Innovation in SMEs and Access to Risk Finance. She has over 7-year experience in obtaining and management of innovation projects financed under 7th Framework Programme, structural funds, Norway Funds and Horizon 2020. Currently she holds a post of the NCP_WIDE.NET Project Coordinator under Horizon 2020. She graduated the University of Warsaw and was a scholar of Sokrates/Erasmus Program at the Mainz University in Germany. Alumnus of the Top 500 Innovators Programme at the Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. Her professional portfolio gathers working for the DG Enterprise in the European Commission.
Sebastian Grabowski graduated from the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications of the Koszalin University of Technology, as well as the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw and General Psychology at the Warsaw School of Social Psychology (SWPS). In his research work he deals with the topic of Open Data, Interactions between the users of telecommunication networks and the Internet, and also aspects related to the Open Government. For 16 years, he has been associated with telecommunication industry. He works as a Director of Research and Development Center Orange Polska. Creator of a Polish national initiative on Open Data - "BIHAPI" www.bihapi.pl. President of ArchitectsPL Foundation promoting the idea of openness in Smart Cities. Lecturer at the Faculty of Management and Social Communication of the Jagiellonian University. Currently he is engaged in Social Innovation multidisciplinary projects based on the new telecommunication and IT technologies.

The inventor of Polish Women’s Entrepreneurship Network of Ambassadors project, inspired by the initiative of the European Commission, which in 2009 created the European Network for Women’s Entrepreneurship Ambassadors.

For her professional, social and charity activities, she was presented with many distinctions (f. in. the Golden Laurel for Skill and Competence, honorary badge ‘for contribution for the Opole Voivodship’, Opole Business Centre Club Lounge ‘Entrepreneur for Children’ award, medal of the 25th Anniversary of the National Chamber of Commerce).
